It’s My Birthday! Giveaway & Interview

I’m 32 today!

In celebration, I’m giving away copies of my novella Tribute to any readers who comment on this post by midnight Friday, February 17th. If you’ve already read Tribute, but haven’t read the sequel Vessel, mention that in your comment and I’ll treat you to a copy of the second book instead. Fun! (Please remember to leave your email address so I can contact you with the coupon code for your free copy of Tribute from Smashwords.) When you comment, I’d love to hear about your favorite way to spend your birthday.

Since my birthday landed on a Wednesday, I’m working. Hopefully, I can scoot out of the office a little early to do some shopping. And this weekend we’re going to Sunriver, in Central Oregon. My husband and I will actually have one night at a cabin by ourselves, while the kids stay at the grandparents. Wow! I can’t wait for uninterrupted sleep, that’s an awesome birthday present! Oh, and time alone with my husband will be wonderful, too! I’m guessing we’ll both bring our hobbies along. He’s as far behind on guitar practice for a show the 25th as I am on my work in progress. We’ll probably crack a bottle of wine and retreat to our corners where we can gaze lovingly at each other in between our complete self-indulgence. 🙂

Aine P. Massie, the author of the House Millar paranormal series, is interviewing me on her blog today. She asked some really fun questions. Check it out!

  1. I’ve read both books, of course, but I wanted to pop over and wish you Happy Birthday. My favorite way of spending my birthday is at a great restaurant surrounded by my closest friends and family.

Now I’m going over to your interview!

  2. Happy Birthday, J.R.! Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Hope you enjoy it!

Lauralynn told me about your books. I’ve haven’t read any of them so I’m definitely interested in a free book. 🙂 (anya.kelleye@yahoo.com)

My favorite way to spend my birthday? Getting pineapple upside down cake that my Daddy fixes me every year. He’s such a sweet heart!

  3. Happy Birthday, J.R.!

I’d love for the opportunity to read Tribute. My email address is bahamianlily (at) gmail (dot) com. I also review at Black Sun Reviews and if I like it, I’d be happy to write one up for Tribute for you. 🙂

My birthdays usually consist of quality time with close friends and loved ones. Oh, and cupcakes. There must be cake of some kind!

  4. I’d actually love a copy. It’s on my list of independently published stuff to read and review.
I’ve never used smashwords, though. Is it compatible with the PC Kindle app?

  5. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great and productive weekend. Thanks for celebrating with us as well. 🙂 I have Tribute already, so I’d love a copy of Vessel please. My favorite way to spend my birthday is out on the beach with my kids until after the sun goes down…

  6. Happy belated birthday! I absolutely would love a free copy of your novel, and thank you. I always take my birthday off, this year it falls on a wednesday as well, and I don’t do anything. Just laze about until whatever fancy attracts me (oooh, something shiney).

    And once again thank you.
