Round of Words Goals Post

Update 1/30/14: This old post seems to be a big entry point to my blog. Click here for the most recent content.

Hello there, and welcome to the final quarter of 2012! Can you believe it? The date is rockin’ my world these days…I can’t believe how time is flying. Anyway, on to my goals for this round:

1) Publish Queen Witch. This fantasy novel is going to beta readers this week. I’d like to publish just before Halloween.
2) Revise Flight, the third Children of the Sidhe novella. I wrote this book last winter, and now I need to edit and revise. I want to publish this very early in 2013.

I’m going to end it there. I’m tempted to add in a fresh writing goal, which would be writing the fifth and final novella in the Children of the Sidhe series. I’d love to tackle that in November, while all that NaNo energy is swirling about…but I anticipate life being rather hectic this round. Work is likely to be something else, plus the holidays, which always add a certain amount of crazy. I don’t want to set myself up for additional stress. See, I’m learning! πŸ™‚

How about you, writer friends? What have you learned from ROW80? Has it changed the way you approach your goals?

  1. Hehe, I agree about not adding too much to our plates. That’s why I started with weekly goals last round.
    Yay for publishing more books!
Good luck with this round πŸ˜‰

  2. It’s good not to stretch yourself too thin. I’ve definitely learned not to do that! Your goals are reasonable. Now I need to pop on over to my blog and write up my reasonable goals. πŸ™‚

  3. Sounds like lots of editing in your near future. I know it’s not technically on your goals (wink) but hopefully you can get some writing in too on that 5th book. Good luck this round! May the red pen be with you πŸ™‚
