Final ROW80 Update for Spring 2013

It’s already time to sum up my spring progress as the Round of Words in 80 Days challenge wraps up the spring round.

Here were my goals for April through June:
1) Revise and publish Flight, the third Children of the Sidhe novella

2) Write an average of 500 words per day on the second Foulweather Twins novel
How did I do?
For the good news, there’s my progress on Goal #1. Flight will be out next week! So, yay!
For the less than stellar news….I wrote about 15,000 words of the second Foulweather Twins novel this spring. That’s not great. If I’d written 500 words each day of the challenge, I could have completed the draft — but it was not to be. I still have about 20k to write. I’m just about to the 40k mark.
I’m looking forward to hopping around tonight and seeing how everyone else is doing as they finish the round.
Have a great week!

  1. One out of two ain’t bad….oh, wait. That’s two out of three, isn’t it? LOL

Seriously, you’ve done MUCH better than me. MUCH better. Let’s get things DONE next round, okay? πŸ™‚

    • I need to get excited! Mostly, excited about sharing. I’m VERY excited about writing and the books I’m publishing. Sometimes I’m not in such a sharing place, and I felt that this round. But yes, here’s to a productive and FUN summer!

    • Sione, you’re in my city! How’s it going? Nice rainy summer we have here, huh?

I work with Tishia at Paragraphic Designs for my cover art. She’s done all of my covers so far. And yes, all of my books are self-published.

    • Thanks for sharing re: your cover art. I will check out their site. I self-publish, too, so am always on lookout for artists to collaborate with.

The weather was awesome until just recently. I do not understand all this rain all of a sudden. But then the weather doesn’t usually stay nice until after July 4 most years, so there’s hope yet. ;*)

  2. Congratulations on Flight! *throws confetti* As for getting excited about sharing, I still struggle mightily with the push-me pull-you of writing and sharing. I had mixed success on my goals, and *blush* am behind on even posting my final check-in.

Have a great break, and see you in the next Round!
