Mid-Week Update: Once More With Feeling

I’m writing today. I took the day off, with the sole purpose of going through my Queen Witch manuscript from head to toe — inserting the final scenes I’ve written, nailing the transitions, and in general making this draft as polished as possible. It will be so nice when this book is done. lol. But I have a final edit ahead of me, then betas, clearing up any issues that emerge, and then a last read through. Any of you who aren’t writers must be getting bored by now. And if I didn’t talk to and read blogs written by a lot of other writers, I might have completely lost my mind by now. So thank you writer friends, for keeping me somewhat sane. 🙂

I know some of you will recognize the title of this post, and get what I’m referring to, besides the seemingly eternal editing process. And for you, here’s a wayback playback from Buffy the Musical (a.k.a. Once More With Feeling). As an aside: Once I watched this video, I just wanted to sit and watch all the songs from this musical episode of Buffy. And then I wanted to watch the episode. But I’m an Angel girl right now (just started re-watching the second season).

  1. I immediately understood the title. 🙂 I’m currently on Season 6. For about the 5th or 6th time…. So I’m coming up on this episode. And I’m a Spike girl all the way. LOL

    I know, as much as you’ve worked on this, Queen Witch will be great. And I know you’ll be glad when it’s finally done.

    • Spike is so hot in that episode! Oh, I may have to re-watch just that one to get it out of my system — I’ve been thinking about it since I wrote this post. But not today! No TV! Just writing with my day off!

  3. Oh gosh, have I mentioned lately how much I love you? When I saw the title of your post I instantly thought of Buffy. But then, sigh… “once more with feeling” is just a colloquialism and you probably weren’t referencing Buffy. But then, YAY! You not only talked about Buffy, you posted a clip of the song from the musical episode! I’m glad I’m not the only gigantic nerd in the world. Hope your day off is going great.

Hi J.R., I immediately thought of the lyrics to a Bon Jovi song… but it’s Monday morning here, so may I please be excused from too much rational thought! 🙂 I hope you got a lot of work done on the book. It’s a massive process, but seems like you’re on track and have a plan in your head, which is incredibly important. Best of luck with the rest of the work.
